telah dijelaskan dalam postingan yang lalu. Kini, saya akan membahas tentang
apa itu Simple Past. Salah satu tenses yang kerap kali digunakan saat berbicara
atau mengekspresikan sesuatu adalah simple past. Simple past digunakan untuk membicarakan
hal, situasi, atau kejadian yang telah berakhir pad masa lampau. Tentu saja ada
keterangan waktu atau adverb yang
sering digunakan bersamaan dengan tenses ini. Keterangan waktu tersebut adalah yesterday, last night, 3 days ago (....
ago), and in 1996(year). Berikut penjelasannya dalam bahasa Inggris.
Simple past tense is used to express the activity in the past. So that, in
English, the used verbs are different. It isn’t like the tenses before, they
use verb 1, here the simple past always uses verb 2 in its positive sentences
to express them. Here is the formula that is always used .
S + V2
Andy went to the beach last week.
My father drove me to go to school.
S + did not + V1
Aghnia did not study Match last night.
Did + S + V1
Did you see a doctor yesterday?
What did you do last night? (Rumus : questions yang menggunakan what, when,
where,... +did + S + Verb 1)
Bagaimana bila kalimat tersebut tidak mengandung kata kerja?
Well, sentences that contain adjective, adverbs, or etc. It will be the
same case with simple present tense that gives to be for it. Its difference is
that to be for simple past tense -> was,
were
Subject : I, She, He, It -> was
They, We, You -> were
Example :
